TANTEX Answers the Mission Oxygen Call
VFF USA is delighted to announce that the Telugu Association of North Texas (TANTEX) Dallas-Fort Worth has joined our #MissionOxygen campaign.
Thanks to the generosity and leadership of current TANTEX President Lakshmi Paleti and Community Chair Uday Kiran Nidiganti, the TANTEX Task Force Team and Governing Board Members raised $14,000 to support VFF USA’s campaign. These funds will be used to provide essential oxygen supplies and medical materials to the Rural Development Trust (RDT) Bathalapalli Hospital in Andhra Pradesh. We greatly appreciate this incredible gift that will help rural communities struggling with COVID-19.
Formed in 1986, TANTEX is a non-profit, non-religious organization. Its mission is to promote cultural, educational, social and community engagement for the Telugu speaking people of North Texas and to foster understanding between the Telugu speaking people and others in the community. The association is a major supporter of Telugu language, traditions & culture in the United States.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, TANTEX leadership and members have conducted a series of virtual conferences to provide assistance to those affected and infected with the COVID-19 virus throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area in Texas. TANTEX has also been active in providing masks, gloves and hand sanitizer to the Telugu-speaking Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
